How my January is going so far… (Contest–2 Winners!)
Thursday, January 12th, 2023

UPDATE: The winners are…Pamela Reveal and miki!
*~*~*

This past week has been a bit of a trial. First, I came down with a respiratory infection (cough, stuffy ears) last Wednesday. I did a home COVID test, and then went to the doctor on Friday. No COVID, but I’m on steroids and antibiotics. That was after last Tuesday when I broke a tooth. So, I went to the dentist last Thursday, and had a cleaning, ex-rays, and was scheduled for a crown. *choke* I went in Tuesday of this week for the temporary and am now $1000 poorer. The dang thing keeps popping off. I had several nights where the coughing and the sore jaw kept me sleepless. Wah-wah. I know.

All of that mess put me behind my tidy, productive work schedule, so although I’m feeling better now (not fully purged of the infection or wearing my permanent crown just yet), I’m suffering from having to do tons of pages of edits to catch up. Which means, no time to write, which means as soon as the edits are out the door, I have to power down to get the pages written. January is turning out to be soooo stressful.

And add to all that, and we sprang a leak in the upstairs bathroom two days ago, which dumped water into the downstairs bathroom, and now we have repairs to make there… We fixed that leak, and another popped up yesterday. It never, ever ends. And I committed to going to Hawaii in July?

That’s three or four disasters, right? They’re supposed to come in threes, right? Are we done yet?

Anyway, I wanted to do a little giveaway today. Since I recently mailed all the hand painted bookmarks and postcards I owed to readers already, I thought it was time to give away some more. If you read eBooks, stick them in a recipe book!

For a chance to win one of these, tell me how YOUR January is going so far!

Mercury is also in retrograde. Which to me always means, if shit is going to happen it going to happen now. I think Mercury starts moving forward again on the 18th. Hopefully things will settle down after that.

So sorry things have gone that way for you… sending positive thoughts your way!
I have been trying to keep up with all of the weeds popping up. I get rid of a bunch and then there are around three times more when I go outside again.
Getting in a bunch of reading… Wish everyone the very best!

I’m so sorry you are dealing with all that. It’s gotta end at some point. I had COVID and a sinus infection two days after Christmas but otherwise I’ve been good.I’m so thankful for books. It was very boring. My great nephew had Covid at Christmas so we didn’t get to see them then we were supposed to see them this week and my other great nephew got sick with HFM so since that’s highly contagious we cancelled Christmas again. We moved our Christmas with my mother in law until yesterday because her household had COVID right before Christmas then all our trips got pushed back by 3 weeks. So we are getting ready to go to MD and TN to do Christmas with my bestie and friends then come back to Pa and hopefully do Christmas with my niece and family before we leave in February for Fl. It’s a banger of a start that’s for sure! 🤣

My January has been a little crazy. My husband has been off work since before Christmas & we’re hoping that changes as he feels better. My grandkids have been in & off sick so staying more with me. I’ve finally got all the decorations down, but now can’t find the stuff I took down in order to have space for Christmas. And, I’m fighting a cough & stuffiness….& some days I just want to read, rest, sleep. But we’re making it.

I’m sorry you’ve been under the weather but happy that you are feeling better now. Don’t pick me for this one as I’ve been the lucky recipient of one of your bookmarks previously. 🥰
