Enjoy Your Day & Two Contests
Monday, May 30th, 2011

In case we forget what today is all about.

Memorial Day Pictures, Images and Photos

I never got why folks would say “Happy” Memorial Day. Seems strange given it’s a day we honor our dead warriors. So instead, I’ll just say, enjoy your day. Play with the kids. Grill some burgers and hot dogs. Swim in the pool. That’s what my plans are.

* * * * *

For those of you who won things in recent weeks, be watching the mail! The red-headed spent Thursday packaging for me, and I went to the Post Office on Friday. So your booty should be arriving soon!

So, now I’m ready for another round of fun! I have two new contests I’m kicking off today. Both contests end June 13th!

1) The Promo Ho Contest

What can you win?
Depending on the number of entries, I will give away two $50.00 gift certificates.

What do you have to do to enter?
See the row of covers below? These books are in sore need of online reviews by happy readers. So I’m offering a tempting bribe. You know there won’t be as many entries for this contest as for the next one, but wouldn’t you like to have some cash to spend on new books? And who knows? Maybe you already have these stories sitting on your TBR pile. Time to move them to the top!

Give a review for one of these stories on one of the online bookstores. Send me the link. It can be the same review on three different sites, but send me three messages with the different links. Doesn’t matter if the review is on the Ellora’s Cave website, Smashwords, Amazon, Nook—send me the link to the review. Easy as that.

2) The Red Ribbon Fairy Contest

What can you win?
What you see in the picture below. This red-ribboned beauty is a four-inch tall Strangeling Fairy trinket box. Be warned before you enter! This will be the start of a new obsession.

What do you have to do?
Post comments. Here on my blog and on my Facebook. Every comment you make over the next two weeks will count as one entry. How easy is that?

Oh! And yes!!!!!! UNDENIABLE’s cover is to die for. I made the poor designer nuts with revisions, then finally sent him a pic of JT to replace the image in front. It had to be perfect.

Hi Delilah, I know a great person who does fantastic book reviews – Mary Gramlich from The Reading Reviewer. You should contact her. She’s also on Facebook.

    Good luck to everybody.

I have not had a chance to read the three books. They are on my TBR list. Which seems to be getting longer instead of shorter B-). I am guessing that I need to move them up to a right now read. If they are like any of your other books. I know I will enjoy them.
I like the fairy trinket box. I just got a fairy mirror and light for my birthday last month. It would go good on my dresser next to those.
    Thanks for the contests. 😛

I love the Strangeling Fairy trinket box. I have “Her Soul to Keep” in my TBR pile. I have never done a review before, but I will leave one for you for this book.

DD, the fairy box is awesome. Her Soul to keep was next on my list and Handy Men is in my nook. I’m off to read. You rock!

I’m glad to know so many of you already have one of the books to read. Should be a cinch. And for those of you who have never reviewed on line before. Don’t worry about it. Just write as though you were telling a friend what you thought about the book. That’s what other readers like to see. Thanks so much! And good luck in the drawing!

I have and love Handy Men. I had rated it, but not reviewed it. I have remedied that fact!!! Here is the link, Ma’am.

Hope that works right!!! Mine is showing as number 1. 😉

I finally got around to buying Her Soul to Keep. It is 1/2 price at All Romance until midnight, so another excuse to buy it  .

If you go to the website for the Congressional Medal of Honor, you’ll find that more than a few were awarded for things like diving on an explosive or accepting what amounted to a suicide mission so that other personnel could escape certain death or capture.

So, in that sense, happy isn’t that far off the mark. No, I’m not happy that anyone had to die, but I am happy that there are people alive and well because of that sacrifice. I’m also happy that my world is a much better place because men and women put their lives on the line to make it that way.

Ugh, I am trying to find time to write reviews. Writing reviews is hard 😥 I will try to get the word out. Gotta support my favorite authors!

Love the fairy – she would go very nicely with DH newest collection of fairies (he can’t find any new unusual dragons LOL).
