   Roses are nice but I have always been partial to spring flowers. Tulips, daffodils, lilacs. Of course Pansies make a lovely little nosegay.

   Tulips, Dafodils, Peonies Stargazer, or Casablanca lilies, Hydrangeas, day lilies, carnations, flags. These all grow in the gardens here. I love just about any flowers.

    I’ve always loved Lilacs – they don’t hold up very long and their season is short, so it’s a matter of timing.

    I love the smell and look of lilacs. For drama, I like peonies or hydrangeas. I have magenta peonies growing in my front yard. They are beautiful.

    Lilacs are my favorite but they don’t hold up real well in a bouquet. Carnations are very fragrant and hold up well and I do like them as well.
