This is the last Christmas-themed puzzle before the big day! My daughter and I have everything wrapped. The groceries for our special meal have been bought! Last night, I finished the last bit of work I intend to do until the day after Christmas. (Yes, not much rest for the weary when you’re a writer!)Â So, from here on out, I will be enjoying spending time with family.
The image I chose for the puzzle depicts the fun of Christmas morning. In our house, we do adult Christmas before Christmas morning because we don’t want anything getting in the way of enjoying watching them open their presents. We’ll have screwdrivers and scissors standing by to install batteries and take apart the packages (why do dolls always have so many wires attached to the packaging?!).

For me, it will be like any other day except with less pressure. I have a ham which I believe is precooked, so it is heating it in the oven with orange soda and a raw potato to pull out any excess salt and making candied sweet potatoes.
I have nothing to unwrap (the non perk of living alone with the only other family member in the hospital). I will check email and call my sister. We will play words with friends: her in the hospital and me here.
If what happens happens, I will nap mid afternoon.

My kids are all grown and doing their own thing in another state. So, I plan to sleep in, maybe. Read a book. Maybe watch a movie or Doctor Who. Just kind of enjoy the peace. Nothing exciting planned.

For us Christmas Midnight mass. A quiet day as we have had a lot of upheaval this year, my husband’s health, selling a house and moving from a couple of places until we found the right fit. My grandchildren will be in NC and so it definitely will be a quiet day for us. Wishing all a very Happy Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year to all.

I will spend about as hour cooking breakfast and then the granddaughter gets to open the multitude of presents she has gotten from everywhere. Then cooking and eating the big meal. Let the body rest for a while and then clean up.

Cinnamon buns to start our day. Opening presents. Then snack items….appetizer type foods. We’re having turkey & ham later on with stuffed mushrooms, kielbasa, shrimp.

Its gonna be different this year. My daughter is having rough pregnancy and was in the er labor and delivery she had vertigo and they put her on new meds after giving iv fluids and my dad’s still ill so I plan to go and see them.Merry Christmas to you and your family.

Breakfast with the family Christmas morning. We don’t do gifts anymore for the adults, just for the “kids.” LOL who are adults too but still kids to their parents and grandmother. So they do open a few gifts. Then we play games for a bit, until it’s nap time! Everyone then takes off to head to their significant others’ parents’, siblings’, or wherever to continue their celebrations. I rest after all that! LOL Merry Christmas!

Going to my cousins house and her son who lives next door to her. We start at her house, and play games after kids open their presents brought with, then end at his for Christmas lunch/dinner (we eat early because some have to work later).
