I’ve got a hoarding problem. This picture is of one section of my bookshelf. I have a s@#t-ton of my books, collected over my 20 years of publishing. So, I thought it’s time to do something about them. The burn barrel seemed too…tragic. So I thought maybe a bunch of giveaways might be fun. Then the giveaways needed a name. The only thing that came to mind was, the Clear My Bookshelf Giveaway. Afterall, I need more room for things like my Funko Pop bobbleheads or some Star Trek action figures. Important stuff.

Delta Heat

For those of you who haven’t been following me for a long time, you might not be aware of my earlier, sexier series. One of them was Delta Heat, which followed a group of Memphis police officers while they “helped” each other find their happy-ever-afters in unconventional ways. I began my writer’s journey by writing very sexy books. The Delta Heat books were previously published through Samhain and Entangled, but now that I have the rights back, I dusted them off, revised them, gave them new covers, and I hope to find new readers who will enjoy their adventures. We Are Dead Horse: Built Like Mack, Book 4

I’m far from through with Dead Horse. I might have written the last story about the bounty hunters in Dead Horse, but the town still has so many stories to tell. Next up in the We Are Dead Horse series is Built Like Mack, as in “built like a Mack truck.” Yeah, that’s all I know about this story so far. I tend to “meet” my characters as I write them—kind of like how you do as you “read” them.

So, I’ve been writing for some time now—since January 2000, actually. My sister, Elle James, and I made a New Millennium resolution that we were going to become writers. I’d say we kicked that New Year’s resolution’s ass.

I published my first book with Ellora’s Cave. Remember them? They were publishing erotic romance when traditional publishers wouldn’t. When they went out of business, I moved to Samhain. There, I wrote a series of BDSM books. The series title was Delta Heat, about a group of Memphis PD cops who were very…sharing. They are erotic romances. After Samhain closed its doors, I published the series through Entangled. Now, I have the rights back. I’ll be revising them and republishing them very, very soon.
